PROBLEMS OF STORAGE
Storage is one of the most troublesome matter to maintain the workshop as well as daily life. However in the daily fife, you can stock, for instance, the cloths according to the season or the items according to frequency of use. But in the workshop, you have to take out the items at once when you need. So, everything must be put in the place where you can access at any time.
I installed the caster wheels to the large items, such as the band saw, belt sander, scroll saw etc. to move to the corner unless in use. However this causes instability of the machines. Therefore I prepared some wedges to fix the machine at a place.
The large drill press is completely fixed on the floor.
Power tools, circular saw, drill, sander, angle grinder etc. are put on the shelf so that I can take it out at once when used.
Small items, such as hand tools, nails, bolt nuts, metal pieces etc. are stocked in the small containers and baskets according to size and category, and put on the shelf or closet. However perfect method is not available, therefore I frequently change the way of storage resulting misplacing necessary things.
2 large closet are made in this shop. But these closets are too deep to contain futon mat originally, therefore inconvenient for my use. Futon is Japanese sleeping mat. (futon) I made shelves there in, but I wish remove these closet if possible.
