HOMEMADE WORK LIGHTS

You need many lights to illuminate working spots such as drill press, sanders, hand works such as filing, sawing, sanding etc. This shop was originally the usual rooms and have usual ceiling lights, but I need small individual spot lights for various works. Therefore I made several lights as shown in the following photos.

I made them with no plan but assembled almost scrap wood, to make flexible so that illuminate any spot.

Following photos show details.

Various types of joints to change direction of light.

This one is made for the study desk, but now used for works. Clip type.

This is not a light but cleaner nozzle holder. When you file or saw the material, tiny chips or shavings or particles fly over there and here. Therefore I hold the cleaner nozzle beside the work to prevent the dust is sprinkled. This holder has some joints to adjust for nozzle pointing. I did not make the base but use a drill press vise which is heavy.
I can use this nozzle holder as a light if you clip a light instead of the nozzle. Small flush light can be used as the work light which is put in the hole instead of the nozzle.
