Home made Boombox
It is very cold here, Hokkaido. Therefore it is hard to work in the shop where no heater is set. Eventually I make the items which I can make in the warm room. I built a boombox. Recently I found a small IC amp PCB at \335. Around US$3.00! Anyway I bult the simple case for this amp set.
I made it burning finish as I like this finish. and easy to make.
This is the finished set.
You can disassemble this unit opening the laches at the bottom to make it separate type.
It is not always necessary to make it separate type, but sometimes it would be better to use, for instance in the open place etc. Moreover sometimes the speakers can be used with other amp.
This is the amp used. It works on 12V, and output is 15W+15W, spec sheet says. Price is \335. There is no reason not to try to build a boombox.
Amp is built in. There is the power switch built which I added.
Power is supplied by 8 pcs. of UM1 batteries. Also other power supply can be used, but so far I do not prepare the power supply.
Batteries are contained.

Youtube video cannot play with the sound as it infringed copyright, therefore I re-made video with no music. But, of cause the sound is played from the cell phone. Of cause other sause can be used such as the cassette tape, IC recorder, CD, record player etc.
I bought at this time the above amp and batteries. Other materials are all from scrap box and junk box. The sound is, I can say, any way it works as the boom box. Sound quality is out of question, I will use this boombox when I work outside, i.e. gardening, outside repairs of the house etc.
Beside I bought another anp kit which was very expensive and I expect good sound. And I also bought the audio amp IC. I will make the amps using them. And I wish to build all transistor amp desiging by myself. However I don't know when...
