In Japan, February 3rd is the day of "Setsubun".
On this day, a bean-throwing ceremony is held in each home.
Roasted soybeans are used for this ceremony.
To bring in good fortune and drive out evil spirits, we throw beans from inside the house to the outside
crying "Evil spirits out" and from the outside into the house crying "Good fortune in".
When this is finished, we eat the same number of beans as our age.
We believe that this ceremony keeps us healthy all year round.
